The Draper Expert 35886 Engine Compression Test Kit addresses this directly with a comprehensive 42-piece set that is compatible with most motorcycles, cars, light commercial vehicles and marine engines, covering both petrol and diesel applications. At the heart of the kit is a large dual reading pressure gauge calibrated from 0–600 psi and 0–40 bar, protected by a heavy-duty rubber bumper to withstand workshop use. The flexible hose features anti-kink coils at both ends to increase durability during repeated use. A spring-loaded pressure relief valve and an integrated Schrader one-way valve system ensure readings are held accurately until deliberately released, eliminating the need for a second pair of hands. The 42-piece contents are designed to maximise engine coverage. The set includes a universal adaptor with sleeve, a right-angled hose adaptor, three petrol adaptors in M10, M12 and M18 mm thread sizes, a non-threaded glow plug adaptor, 22 dummy glow plugs, four large dummy glow plugs, five adaptor sleeves, three clamping brackets and an assortment of sealing washers. This breadth of adaptors allows the technician to work across the full range of common petrol and diesel engine configurations without the need for supplementary tooling. The complete kit is supplied in a dedicated plastic storage case, keeping all components organised and protected between uses.
