The hook and loop attachment system accepts 230mm sanding discs, making disc changes straightforward and secure during extended sanding sessions. A protective rubber bumper runs around the perimeter of the sander, allowing the user to work right up to edges, skirting boards, door frames, and wall junctions without leaving marks or causing damage to adjacent surfaces. This is a particularly useful feature when preparing walls, ceilings, or floors for decoration. The Draper 17162 is compatible with Stock No. 17160 extension pole, which is sold separately. When fitted, the extension pole enables the user to sand overhead surfaces and high walls without the need for steps or scaffolding, significantly reducing effort and improving reach on larger decorating projects.
