Framing work demands a hammer that can withstand sustained heavy use without punishing the user. The Estwing E3/28SM addresses this with a longer handle designed to deliver increased striking power on every swing, making it well suited to structural timber framing, board prying, nail pulling, demolition work, and wood splitting. The head and handle are forged in one piece and fully polished, eliminating the weak joint between head and shaft found on traditional two-piece construction. The rip claw is purpose-shaped for pulling nails, prying boards, performing demolition work, and splitting wood with confidence. Comfort over a long working day is managed by the vinyl moulded Estwing Shock Reduction Grip fitted to the handle. This grip enhances comfort and significantly reduces vibration transmitted to the hand and arm during use. The hammer weighs 28oz (784g) and the handle measures 16 inches. Draper Tools is licensed to sell this Estwing product in the UK, Ireland, and Europe, supplying the trade with a manufacturer whose one-piece forged construction is widely regarded in the framing and construction sector.
