Heavy-duty groundwork and construction sites demand tools that can withstand sustained use in demanding conditions. The Draper Expert All Steel Contractors Taper Mouth No.2 Shovel is built to meet that challenge, combining a solid forged taper mouth No.2 blade with correct hardening for reliable strength across a wide range of digging and shifting tasks. The all-steel tubular shaft provides a robust, rigid structure that resists flex and distortion under load, while the powder coated finish delivers extra durability and corrosion protection, extending the working life of the tool in wet or chemically active ground conditions. The metal YD handle is fitted with a wooden cross dowel, offering added comfort and a secure two-handed grip during extended use. The blade measures 240 mm at the base tapering to 210 mm at the top, with a 300 mm blade length, giving an overall tool length of 980 mm. This geometry is suited to penetrating firm ground, moving loose materials, and working within confined excavation areas where a taper mouth profile is advantageous. Supplied as a single unit, the Draper 70374 is sold as 1 x Draper Expert All Steel Contractors Taper Mouth No.2 Shovel.
This heavy duty contractors shovel has an all-steel tubular shaft. The solid forged taper mouth No.2 blade is correctly hardened for strength. The powder coated finish provides extra durability and corrosion protection. Metal YD handle with wooden cross dowel for added comfort.
