The Govoni GO1315 is a slogging brake caliper wrench in M26 bi-hex profile, designed specifically for DAF XF-series tractor units where this fastener size and profile is used on the brake caliper fixings.
The slogging design allows the operator to release stubborn caliper fasteners by striking the end of the wrench with a hammer, transmitting an impact pulse that breaks the corrosion bond — particularly important on long-distance haulage units where road salt exposure and extended service intervals make brake caliper fasteners difficult to release with conventional tooling.
The bi-hex (twelve-point) profile provides twelve possible engagement positions, which is useful in restricted-access situations where the wrench cannot be freely positioned. The 3/4 inch square drive on the wrench allows controlled torque clamping during refit, with a laser-etched torque conversion formula compensating for the lever extension introduced by the slogging design — the formula must be applied to set the correct final torque.
The tool eliminates the need to remove the steering control tie rod lever during caliper servicing, simplifying the workflow and reducing vehicle downtime.
