Aluminium oxide flap discs are fine for occasional surface prep, but on stainless, hardox or repeated heavy weld dressing they wear out fast and increase consumable cost per job. The Sealey FD115MIX is a 10-pack of zirconium flap discs - the more durable grit choice - bundled in four grades to cover a job end-to-end: 3 x 40G for heavy stock removal, 4 x 60G for the main work, 2 x 80G for refining, and 1 x 120G for finishing. Suitable for descaling, rust removal, weld preparation, weld cleaning and general surface preparation, with longer life than standard sanding discs on the same task. Flaps are bonded to a rigid disc with epoxy adhesive, so no separate backing pad is required, and the depressed centre profile fits both electric and air angle grinders. Disc size Ø115mm, bore Ø22mm - the standard 4-1/2" angle grinder pattern. Set up your consumables station with one box and the right grit is always to hand.
