Draper's 84042 zirconium oxide flap disc addresses this with a resin-bonded construction that delivers enhanced cutting performance and a self-sharpening action, maintaining aggressive material removal throughout the disc's working life. The disc features a T-29 conical profile with 15–25° angled flaps, making it equally suited to contoured surfaces and flat-edged work. The X-weight polyester-cotton backing provides the structural rigidity needed for medium to high-pressure grinding while retaining enough flexibility for finishing passes. Applications include sanding, grinding, stock removal and weld preparation across a broad range of materials: metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, sheet metal, wood and plastic. Manufactured to EN13743 standards, the 115 x 22.23mm disc with 80 grit specification is compatible with standard 115mm angle grinders fitted with a 22.23mm bore. Sold as a single disc.
