Cutting stainless steel and inox presents a distinct challenge: standard abrasive discs can contaminate the workpiece surface, compromise the passive layer and deliver imprecise results. The Draper 94779 is a flat cutting disc engineered specifically for fast, straight cutting of stainless steel and inox, and is also suitable for broader metalworking applications including steel, structural steel and sheet metal. The disc is manufactured from premium quality aluminium oxide that has been resin bonded and reinforced with fibreglass, a construction that improves both the strength and the performance of the disc under load. At just 1mm thick, it is an ultra-thin profile that enables rapid, efficient cutting with minimal material loss and reduced heat build-up at the cut line. The bore is fitted with a stainless-steel ring, allowing the disc to be safely and securely mounted onto the machine. The disc conforms to Type 41 profile and is rated to a maximum speed of 13,300 RPM with a cutting speed of 80 m/s, making it compatible with 115mm angle grinders fitted with a 22.23mm bore. Manufactured to EN12413 standards, the disc meets the recognised European safety specification for bonded abrasive products. Supplied as a single disc. Blade diameter 115mm, blade thickness 1mm, disc bore 22.23mm.
