The SIP 01573 12" Gear Drive Metal Bandsaw is a powerful, gearbox-driven bandsaw designed for accurate cutting of bar, tube and profile workpieces across a wide range of metal types. Running on a 230V (13A) single-phase supply with a 1.1kW (1.5hp) motor, it is ideally suited to professional metal fabrication and engineering workshops where consistent, clean cuts are essential.
At the heart of the machine is a three-speed direct drive gearbox offering blade speeds of 39, 55 and 67 metres per minute, allowing the operator to select the most appropriate cutting speed for each material and workpiece. A heavy-duty cast iron fixed head bow ensures rigid, vibration-resistant cutting, while an adjustable cast iron vice secures workpieces reliably during the cut. Enhanced safety features are incorporated throughout, and an integrated coolant system helps extend blade life and maintain cut quality during sustained use.
The 01573 accepts a blade measuring 2,360mm x 20mm x 0.9mm and delivers a cutting capacity at 0° of 180mm diameter (circle), 180mm (square) and 300mm x 180mm (rectangle). Angled cutting at 45° yields capacities of 110mm (circle), 110mm (square) and 110mm x 180mm (rectangle). Compatible materials include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and alloys, making this an exceptionally versatile machine for metal and engineering workshops.
