Product Number: 6440N-PG
The WAI 6440N-PG is a brand-new 12V starter motor. It is built to Delco PG260M specification, supplied as a direct replacement for Remy original-equipment numbers including Remy 10455600, Remy 10455601 and Remy 1108525 — among 17 cross-referenced OE numbers in total. It is designed for agricultural and industrial machinery applications, covering Caterpillar Ag. & Ind. and Westerbeke equipment.
The motor operates at 12 volts with clockwise rotation and a 9-tooth pinion, matching the engagement geometry of the original Delco PG260M design. Being supplied brand new rather than remanufactured means there is no core charge and no exchange required.
Confirmed fitments include four Caterpillar Ag. & Ind. models — the T165, T180C, T200C and T250C (all 1981) — and three Westerbeke marine generator sets: the 6.5 TWG, 8.0 TWG and 11.0 TWG (1983–1987). The full cross-reference list of 17 OE numbers spans Remy, Prestolite Electric, Westerbeke, Mercury Marine, Outboard Marine Corp, Volvo-Penta and IHC references, making reverse-lookup straightforward if you are working from an existing part number.
