Product Number: 6370N
The WAI 6370N is a brand-new 24V 7.8kW starter motor. It is built to the Delco 42MT direct-drive specification, cross-referenced against more than 100 OE and aftermarket references including Bosch USA SR10011X, Delco Remy DRZ5166 and DRZ5167, Remy 10461024, and Caterpillar 10R0400. It is a direct replacement for heavy-duty plant, construction and agricultural machinery that originally used the Delco 42MT DD unit.
The 42MT direct-drive design is a proven platform in demanding industrial and agricultural environments. Running at 24 volts and developing 7.8kW of cranking power, it offers the torque needed to turn over large-displacement diesel engines reliably in all conditions. The 11-tooth pinion and clockwise rotation match the original Delco specification, ensuring correct engagement with the ring gear.
This starter motor fits a broad range of equipment from Caterpillar (22 applications), Grove Mfg. (10), Case (9), Fiat-Allis (7), Champion (6), Clark (5), Volvo (5), Allis Chalmers (4), Hyundai (2), and further makes including Dresser, Kobelco, Link-Belt, Samsung, and Tanguay — 75 applications in total across more than 13 makes. Verified fitments include the Allis Chalmers 6138, 670, 685 and 945, and the Case 1000 Travelift, 40D, 45DR and 45R, among many others.
