The WAI 8715N is a brand-new 24V 70A alternator built to the Delco 23SI Brushless Series IR/EF specification. It replaces original-equipment units from Cummins (including 3675250RX and 3675252RX), Remy (including 10459274, 10459372, and 19011004), Caterpillar (5S9088), and Komatsu (including 600-821-9250 and 600-821-9260), with 52 cross-references in total across those and other OE brands. It is the correct direct replacement for heavy plant and agricultural machinery that left the factory with a Delco 23SI brushless unit.
The 23SI Brushless Series uses an internal regulator and external field (IR/EF) configuration, which removes the brush gear from the serviceability equation and reduces the number of wear components in the charging circuit. Clockwise rotation and a bare shaft output (supplied without pulley) match the original installation geometry on supported machines.
