The material is 600-denier polyester over a polyurethane backing: waterproof and oil and mud resistant, keeping the front seats protected in a van worked in all weather. Overlocked seams hold the panel edges along the outer bolster, where a van seat takes its wear as the driver twists in and out.

Each cover carries an extra side panel to pull it in tight against the seat rather than leaving it slack, and coverage is 360-degree, wrapping the seat rather than draping over it. A headrest cover is included.

Covering both front seats as a set means they age together rather than the driver's side wearing visibly ahead of the passenger's. Headrests and seat adjusters remain accessible once fitted, and no tools are needed.
