Welding without adequate hand protection risks serious burns from spatter and heat. The Sealey SSP151 are extra-large, heavy-duty welding gauntlets designed for MIG and gas welding applications, offering certified protection in a traditionally crafted design. Made from split cowhide leather with Kevlar® stitching for durability, they feature a cotton-lined cuff and a soft fleece lining for all-day comfort. Additional leather stitched over the palm area reinforces the zone most exposed to wear. Certified to BS EN 12477 Type A, and rated to BS EN 388 - 3134X and BS EN 407 - 41314X, these gauntlets meet recognised safety standards for welding hand protection. Please note: these gauntlets are not suitable for arc welding. Supplied as a pair in size X-Large, with a five-year storage life when kept in cool, dry conditions. Gauntlets must be scrapped if signs of wear, damage, or deterioration are present.
