The Metrol 1401-038-20 is a quarter turn tri-lock insert featuring an 8mm triangle key profile and an 18mm barrel (grip) height, finished in black textured powder coat. Designed for panel-mounted locking applications, it accepts the 1401 series cam range to complete the locking assembly.
Constructed using zinc alloy die casting with a nylon 6 GF30 component, the insert achieves IP65-grade weather sealing, making it suitable for dusty and wet workshop or industrial enclosure environments. The black textured powder coat finish provides additional corrosion resistance and a professional appearance.
The insert requires a 20.1 x 20.1 mm square panel cutout and accommodates panel thicknesses from 1 mm to 8 mm. Note that the cam is sold separately; multiple cam configurations is available within the 1401 series. The product is also available in stainless steel SS304 construction — please enquire for details.
