The Metrol 1401-124-30 is a quarter turn lock featuring a 2x4 coin proof slot insert with an 18mm barrel height and a bright chrome finish. Manufactured with a die cast zinc body with a Nylon 6 GF30 body, this insert is designed for secure panel fastening in enclosures, cabinets and control panels where dust and moisture ingress must be controlled.
The 1401-124-30 carries a sealed IP65 rating, making it suitable for installation in environments where protection against dust and low-pressure water jets is required. The required panel cutout dimension is 20.1 x 20.1mm and the unit accommodates panel thicknesses from 1mm to 8mm, providing compatibility across a wide range of enclosure gauges.
The locking head is operated via a 2x4 coin proof slot, meaning a standard flat-blade coin or screwdriver is required to actuate the quarter turn mechanism. The cam profile is sold separately, and multiple cam configurations is available to suit different panel depths and latch configurations. The lock is also available in SS304 stainless steel for applications where enhanced corrosion resistance is required.
