True Colour Technology improves depth perception for greater welding precision, while fully automatic switching from light to dark on striking arc ensures eyes remain protected at all times, with an instant operating time of just 0.04ms. The shade is selected via a rotary knob on the side of the helmet. An inactive shade of 4 provides protection at all times. With a 92 x 42mm viewing area, sensitivity and delay controls, and solar cell power requiring no batteries or charging, the PWH1 is a capable, low-maintenance helmet for workshop use. It complies with BS EN 379, BS EN 175, and DIN standards, and is rated for operating temperatures between -5°C and +55°C.
