Compressed air hoses under pressure can whip violently if a coupling fails or disconnects. The PCL HA2108 is a 0.6 m (2 ft) anti whip hose fitted with a Standard Adaptor and an R 1/4 Male end fitting, built on 7 mm (1/4 in) internal diameter hose and manufactured in Sheffield, UK.
PCL's whip hoses are highly recommended by the Health & Safety Executive's Guide HS(G) 39. They are designed to distance an air tool from its air supply to prevent vibration, enabling tools to be used safely. This design also helps to prolong the life of couplings and adaptors by absorbing the stresses of tool movement and reducing wear at the connection points.
The HA2108 is supplied with a Standard Adaptor at one end and an R 1/4 Male end fitting at the other, making it compatible with PCL Standard-series airline systems. The 7 mm (1/4 in) internal diameter is well suited to the majority of pneumatic hand tools used in workshop and industrial environments.
