Accurate voltage testing across automotive, domestic, and electronic applications demands a tool rated for the full range of systems encountered in professional use. The Draper Expert AC/DC High Voltage CAT IV Tester is designed to test 6V–1,000V DC systems and 24V–1,000V AC systems, making it suitable for use with most hybrid and electric cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, trailers, boats, and agricultural vehicles, as well as domestic wiring and electronic equipment. The tester features an easy-to-read LCD digital display with a bar chart presenting voltage ranges of 6, 12, 24, 50, 120, 230, 400, 690, and 1,000V. Voltage increments of 1V and an accuracy of ±3% and ±3V ensure precise readings across all supported ranges. A self-test function confirms correct operation before use, while a built-in light illuminates the test point for improved visibility in poorly lit environments. The insulated and sharpened probe, fitted with adjustable covers, allows access to circuits and switches safely and accurately. Rated to CAT IV 1,000V, the tester meets the most demanding overvoltage category for use at the origin of electrical installations. Ingress protection to IP65 means the unit is dust-tight and protected against water jets. Weighing 0.285 kg, the tester is lightweight and easy to handle. Requires 2 x AAA batteries, available separately.
