The kit is equally suited to repairing stripped threads in aluminium engine blocks, steel housings, and other workshop components where thread integrity is critical. At the heart of the system are 10 high-quality stainless steel thread inserts sized M14 x 1.25mm. The stainless steel construction means the inserts protect tapped threads against wear, corrosion, galling, and seizing once installed, delivering a durable repair that restores full thread engagement. Everything required to complete the repair is included in the kit. A 14.3mm HSS drill bit prepares the damaged hole to the correct diameter, and an HSS M14 x 1.25mm tap cuts the new thread profile. An insert tool drives each insert to the correct depth, a lug breaking tool removes the installation tang on completion, and a 2mm hex key is also provided. All 15 components are supplied in a plastic storage case to keep the kit organised and protected between uses.
