The Draper Expert TCT Circular Saw Blade for Wood with PTFE Coating (35585) addresses these issues through a combination of precision engineering and protective surface treatment. The PTFE coating improves the ease of the cut, reduces heat in the blade, and prevents rusting and resin build-up during prolonged use. Micrograin titanium carbide teeth deliver thin, clean cuts with little material waste, whilst the alternate top bevel grind and 15° rake angle are optimised for wood-based materials. The blade body is laser cut to exacting tolerances. Heat expansion slots are incorporated to give the blade sufficient room to expand as operating temperatures rise, maintaining dimensional stability throughout the cut. Anti-friction vents reduce vibrations, helping the blade run more true and limiting noise output — a practical advantage in quieter working environments. The anti-kickback design prevents the blade from feeding too quickly, reducing the risk of sudden, uncontrolled movement. Rated to a maximum speed of 5,200 rpm with a 2.3 mm kerf, the blade measures 255 mm in diameter with a 30 mm bore and is compatible with most 255 mm circular saws. It is designed for use on hardwood, softwood, MDF, chipboard, and plywood, and is manufactured to EN847-1 standard. Supplied as a single blade weighing 0.627 kg.
