The Draper Expert 34700 TCT Circular Saw Blade addresses these problems through a combination of precision engineering and protective coating applied to a laser-cut steel body. The blade carries a PTFE coating that improves the ease of the cut, reduces heat build-up in the blade, and prevents rusting and resin accumulation. Micrograin titanium carbide-tipped (TCT) teeth deliver thin, low-waste cuts, while laser-cut heat expansion slots provide the blade with sufficient room to expand as temperature rises during use. Anti-friction vents reduce vibrations, helping the blade to run more true, and also limit operating noise — a practical benefit in quieter working environments. The anti-kickback design prevents the blade from feeding too quickly into the workpiece. The blade is specified at 216mm diameter with a 30mm bore, 48 teeth, a 2.0mm kerf, alternate top bevel grind, a 15° rake angle, and a maximum speed of 6,200rpm. It is suitable for use on hardwood, softwood, MDF, chipboard, and plywood, and is compatible with most 216mm circular saws with a 30mm bore. The blade meets the EN847-1 standard.
