Five pre-set notches are machined into the diecast body at 41° (countersink), 49°, 59°, 68°, and 88°, which the manufacturer states cover most tip angle requirements. Each notch locks the drill into the correct presentation angle before grinding begins, ensuring consistent point geometry across a sharpening session.
