Achieving accurate cuts on picture frames, architraves and similar mouldings demands a saw that holds both angle and workpiece firmly throughout the stroke. The Draper 21626 Precision Mitre Saw is designed for exactly this purpose, enabling the accurate cutting of various angles and mitres in a workshop or site setting. The saw is constructed around a solid one-piece diecast aluminium saw table measuring 400mm in length, supported by four solid chrome-plated guide rods. The guide rods carry an adjustable length stop with a maximum reach of 440mm, allowing repeat cuts to a consistent length without re-measuring. A material vice clamp holds the workpiece securely during cutting, and an additional vice clamp is included specifically for use with short workpieces. A cutting depth regulator and scale on the base provide further control over each cut. The saw is supplied with a 550mm, 14tpi wood-cutting blade fitted to a plastic-handled saw body. The blade measures 45mm in width. Maximum cutting width clamped at 90° is 125mm, rising to 170mm unclamped; clamped at 45° the maximum cutting width is 115mm. Maximum cutting height is 100mm. Gross weight is 8.5kg. The unit is supplied in a display carton.
