The Draper 41079 HSS bi-metal holesaw is a variable pitch, heavy-duty blade designed for cutting wood, steel, brass, bronze, cast iron, aluminium and plastic to a maximum depth of 35mm (1-3/8"). The blade is constructed with a hardened M3 steel cutting edge welded to a tough alloy steel body. This bi-metal construction reduces the risk of shattering during use, making it well suited to demanding, repetitive cutting tasks. The variable pitch tooth geometry delivers a fast, clean cutting action across the range of supported materials. Four side slots are incorporated into the design to assist removal of the cut slug, keeping the blade clear during operation. The female threaded spindle accepts a 9.5mm arbor, allowing straightforward attachment to a power drill. When cutting metal, the use of a cutting lubricant is advisable to extend service life.
