The Draper 41078 HSS Bi-Metal Holesaw Blade addresses this with a hardened M3 steel cutting edge welded to a tough alloy steel body — a construction that combines cutting performance with resistance to breakage across a range of workpiece materials. The variable pitch bi-metal design makes it suitable for cutting wood, steel, brass, bronze, cast iron, aluminium and plastic to a maximum depth of 35mm (1-3/8"). Four side slots are incorporated to assist slug removal and keep the cut clear during use. The female threaded spindle accepts a 9.5mm arbor, allowing straightforward attachment to a power drill for a fast, clean cutting action even in stubborn materials. For metal cutting applications, the use of a suitable cutting lubricant is advisable to prolong service life. Draper Stock No. 76109 Metal Cutting Lubricant (400ml) is recommended for this purpose. Supplied as a single 43mm blade.
