The Draper 41077 HSS bi-metal holesaw blade is designed for exactly that purpose, offering a variable pitch cutting geometry that suits a broad range of materials including metals, plastics and wood. The blade features a hardened M3 steel cutting edge welded to a tough alloy steel body. This bi-metal construction combines the wear resistance of high-speed steel with the resilience of the alloy body, reducing the risk of shattering under load. Four side slots are incorporated into the design to assist with slug removal, keeping the cutting path clear during operation. A female threaded spindle allows straightforward fixing to a 9.5mm arbor, enabling rapid attachment to power drills for a fast, clean, heavy-duty cutting action. The maximum cutting depth is 35mm (1-3/8 in). Compatible materials include wood, steel, brass, bronze, cast iron, aluminium and plastic, making this a versatile consumable for workshop and on-site use. When cutting metal, the use of a suitable lubricant is advisable to extend service life — Draper Stock No. 76109 Metal Cutting Lubricant (400ml) is recommended for this purpose. Supplied as a single 41mm HSS bi-metal holesaw blade.
