Abracs Tungsten Carbide Planer Blades – Reversible carbide-tipped planer knives designed for superior cutting performance and longevity in electric hand planers. These blades are made of solid tungsten carbide (often referred to as “hard metal” STC/HW), which offers exceptional hardness and wear resistance – yielding up to 20× longer life than standard steel planer blades. Each blade is precision ground to a razor-sharp edge, ensuring clean, smooth planing of hardwood, softwood, plywood, and other wood-based materials without tearing or feathering. They are double-edged and fully reversible, so when one edge eventually dulls you can flip the blade to use the fresh edge, effectively doubling the working life. Abracs Planer Blades are produced in common sizes (such as 82mm length) to fit most popular portable power planers on the market (Bosch, Makita, etc.), making them easy to install as a direct upgrade from conventional HSS blades.
