Sanding discs that clog quickly or wear prematurely cost time and consumable budget — the Draper 64282 Gold Sanding Discs address both concerns through a combination of material selection and surface treatment. Each disc is constructed from aluminium oxide abrasive resin bonded to a heavy-duty D-Weight backing paper, providing the durability needed to withstand demanding sanding and finishing tasks without premature breakdown. The aluminium oxide abrasive receives a special treatment of calcium stearate, which delivers self-sharpening and anti-clogging performance. This keeps the cutting surface active for longer and reduces the frequency of disc changes during extended runs. The D-Weight backing paper adds structural rigidity, ensuring the disc maintains its form under pressure on tougher substrates. Six pre-punched 8mm dust extraction holes improve debris removal during sanding, keeping the work surface clearer and supporting the performance of the abrasive. The hook and loop backing offers secure adhesion to the backing pad while enabling fast disc changes, minimising downtime between grits or during replacement. These discs are suitable for sanding and finishing wood, metals including ferrous alloys, painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers. They are compatible with all 150mm random orbit sanders fitted with a hook and loop backing pad, including Draper Stock No. 65084, 83942 and 84125. Supplied as a pack of 10 at 400 grit.

A. Each disc measures 150mm in diameter and is rated at 400 grit. They are supplied in a pack of 10.
A. Hook and loop backing is a fastening system — one surface carries fine hooks and the other carries a loop material — allowing the disc to attach securely to a compatible sanding pad and be removed quickly for fast disc changes without tools or adhesive.

A. We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for items that are unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. Returns are available only for UK-delivered orders and must include proof of purchase. Before returning an item, please contact us at [email protected] to obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMN). You may also be asked to share images of the product and its packaging for verification. Items that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted for return. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card or original method of payment. A restocking fee of up to 15% of the order value may apply to each returned item.
