Sanding discs that clog prematurely or lose their cutting edge mid-job waste time and consumables — the Draper 59766 Gold Sanding Discs are engineered to address both problems. Each disc is constructed from aluminium oxide with a calcium stearate treatment, resin bonded to the abrasive to deliver self-sharpening performance and active resistance to clogging, keeping the disc cutting efficiently throughout its working life. The heavy-duty D-Weight backing paper underpins the abrasive layer, providing the rigidity and toughness required to withstand demanding sanding and finishing tasks. Eight pre-punched 8mm holes are positioned to work with the dust extraction ports of compatible sanders, drawing swarf and debris away from the work surface during use to maintain a cleaner finish and clearer sightlines. The hook and loop backing system allows fast, secure disc changes without tools, bonding reliably to hook and loop backing pads to keep the disc positively located under load. These discs are compatible with all 125mm random orbit sanders fitted with a hook and loop backing pad, including Draper Stock No. 58097 and 89522. Suitable for sanding and finishing wood, metals including ferrous alloys, painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers, the 59766 discs cover a wide range of workshop and bodywork applications at 320 grit. Supplied as a pack of ten.
