Each belt is constructed from aluminium oxide that is resin bonded to a strong X-weight polycotton cloth backing. This backing delivers the flexibility needed to conform to contoured surfaces whilst remaining sufficiently durable to handle varying pressure applications, enhancing the intensity of loading throughout the belt's working life. A special butt joint design minimises the effect of vibration transmitted across the work surface, helping to produce a smooth and even finish with reduced surface chatter. Supplied at 180 grit, these belts are well suited to fine sanding and finishing work across a broad range of materials including wood, metal, aluminium alloy, painted surfaces, plastic, and fillers.
