Achieving a smooth, consistent finish on wood, metal or painted surfaces demands an abrasive that resists clogging, dissipates heat effectively and holds its cut over repeated passes. Draper's 25 x 762mm cloth sanding belts address each of these requirements through a combination of carefully selected materials and manufacturing techniques. The abrasive layer is formed from aluminium oxide grain applied via electrostatic sand planting, which orientates the particles to maximise cutting efficiency. An open coat configuration promotes chip removal and heat dissipation, reducing the risk of surface burning or premature belt loading. The aluminium oxide abrasive is resin bonded to the backing, delivering efficient resistance and long-lasting performance across sustained use. Vibration is a common cause of an uneven finish, particularly on portable belt sanders. The special butt joint construction minimises the effect of vibration across the work surface, helping to maintain a smooth and even result throughout the sanding pass. The X-weight polycotton cloth backing provides the flexibility needed for contoured work whilst remaining durable enough for varied pressure applications. Each belt measures 25mm wide by 762mm long and is rated at 180 grit, suitable for finishing passes on wood, metal, aluminium alloy, painted surfaces, plastic and fillers. The belts are compatible with all 25 x 762mm sanders, including Draper Stock No. 98419. Supplied as a pack of five.
