Sanding tasks that demand consistent cutting performance across multiple materials are often hampered by disc clogging and rapid wear. These Draper gold sanding discs address both issues through a combination of aluminium oxide abrasive and a calcium stearate treatment, which together deliver self-sharpening and anti-clogging performance throughout use. The abrasive layer is resin bonded to a heavy-duty D-Weight backing paper, making each disc robust enough to withstand demanding sanding and finishing work without premature degradation. The hook and loop backing system provides secure adhesion to compatible sanding pads whilst allowing fast disc changes during extended jobs, minimising downtime. Fifteen pre-punched 8mm holes are arranged across the face of each disc to improve dust extraction efficiency when used with an appropriate extraction system, helping to keep the work surface clear and the abrasive cutting freely. This pack of 10 discs covers five grit grades — 120G, 180G, 240G, 320G and 400G — making it suitable for progressing through stages of sanding and finishing on wood, metals including ferrous alloys, painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers. All discs measure 150mm in diameter and are compatible with 150mm random orbit sanders fitted with a hook and loop backing pad, including Draper Stock No. 58097 and 89522.
