Inconsistent dust accumulation and clogging are common frustrations when finishing wood, metal and composite surfaces. Draper's 8473 gold sanding discs address this through a combination of aluminium oxide abrasive and a special calcium stearate treatment that delivers self-sharpening and anti-clogging performance during use. The abrasive is resin bonded to a heavy-duty D-Weight backing paper, giving the disc the durability to withstand demanding sanding and finishing work across a wide range of materials. The hook and loop backing provides secure, reliable adhesion while also allowing fast disc changes during extended use. The 15 pre-punched 8mm dust extraction holes improve dust extraction during sanding, helping to keep the work surface clear. At 120 grit, these discs are suited to sanding and finishing wood, metals including ferrous alloys, painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers. Each pack contains 10 discs. These discs are compatible with all 150mm random orbit sanders fitted with a hook and loop backing pad, including Draper Stock Nos. 58097 and 89522, making them a practical consumable for workshops already equipped with compatible Draper tooling.
