Sanding tasks that demand consistent, clog-free performance across wood, metals, painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers require an abrasive that can maintain its cutting edge throughout the job. Draper 8477 Gold Sanding Discs are manufactured from aluminium oxide and treated with calcium stearate, a combination that delivers self-sharpening and anti-clogging performance throughout use. The abrasive layer is resin bonded to a heavy-duty D-Weight backing paper, providing the durability needed to withstand demanding applications without premature deterioration. Each disc measures 150mm in diameter and is graded at 320 grit, making the set well suited to fine sanding and finishing work across ferrous alloys and other metals, as well as wood, painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers. The 15 pre-punched 8mm holes are positioned to maximise dust extraction performance during operation, helping to maintain a cleaner working surface and clearer sightlines. The hook and loop backing provides secure, reliable adhesion to the sanding pad while enabling fast disc changes when switching between grits or materials. The discs are compatible with all 150mm random orbit sanders fitted with a hook and loop backing pad, including Draper Stock No. 58097 and 89522. Supplied as a pack of 10 discs.
