Locating hidden structures and services behind walls before cutting or drilling is a fundamental safety and accuracy requirement on any building or renovation project. The Laserliner 080.967A MultiScanner Plus Electronic Locating Device addresses this need by combining metal detection, live and non-live wire location, and structural identification — wall beams and joists included — in a single instrument. The device is suitable for use on all non-metallic drywall structures. In metal detection mode, the MultiScanner Plus identifies hidden non-magnetic metals beneath stone, concrete, screed, wood, ceramic and mineral building materials to a depth of up to 10 centimetres, and magnetic metals to a depth of up to 12 centimetres. The depth is displayed directly on screen, and the device indicates whether the detected metal is magnetic or non-magnetic. Specific metal detection covers both iron and copper. The device also locates live wiring operating within a detection range of 110–230 V AC at 50–60 Hz. Autocalibration simplifies set-up, while the rechargeable Li-ion battery pack (3.7 V / 0.3 Ah / 1.11 Wh) delivers approximately 3 hours of operating time and charges via the included USB-C cable. The unit measures 87 mm × 205 mm × 38 mm and weighs 178 g including the battery pack. Supplied complete with Li-ion battery pack, USB-C cable and carrying case.
