The MultiFinder Pro operates across multiple detection modes, selectable via a single button, with the active mode and operating instructions displayed clearly on the LC display for straightforward, guided use. Acoustic and optical signals provide clear confirmation when a target material has been located, and a permanent voltage warning safeguards the user during operation. Notably, the device is capable of detecting wires beneath plaster even when those wires are not live, making it suitable for a broader range of survey conditions. Autocalibration is built in, reducing the need for manual setup and supporting reliable readings across varied surface types. The detection range for AC live wires covers 110–230 V at 50–60 Hz. The unit measures 80 mm x 186 mm x 40 mm and weighs 230 g including the battery. Power is supplied by a single 9 V 6LR61 block battery, with an operating time of approximately 3 hours. Specific metal identification for iron and copper is supported, as is identification of supporting structures in both metal and wood.
