Locating concealed materials behind walls, floors and ceilings demands a reliable multi-mode detector that adapts to different surface conditions without time-consuming manual calibration. The Laserliner 080.965E MultiFinder Plus Universal Locating Device addresses this directly: upon power-on, the instrument autocalibrates to the ground surface immediately, reducing set-up time on site. The device operates across four detection modes — wood, metal (including specific identification of iron and copper), and live wire detection — making it suitable for identifying supporting structures as well as concealed electrical cables. A particular capability in metal mode allows the detection of concealed lines even when they are not live, providing utility beyond standard voltage-sensitive tools. The permanent voltage warning for 230 V wires (AC detection range: 110–230 V, 50–60 Hz) maintains a high level of safety during use. User guidance is delivered through an illuminated LC display, keeping operation clear and accessible. The unit is powered by a single 9 V 6LR61 battery, offering an operating time of approximately 5 hours. Dimensions are 80 mm x 186 mm x 40 mm and the instrument weighs 230 g including the battery. The housing incorporates a large proportion of recycled plastic, contributing to reduced environmental impact. Supplied with one Laserliner 080.965E MultiFinder Plus Universal Locating Device and one battery. Operating instructions are included.
