The cheapest insurance on any pipe run is the clip that stops it moving.
JCS describes its P-clips as suited to the most challenging environments, and the PCZR8BG carries that specification at 8mm closed diameter: a standard TPE liner rated -30C to +60C, UV and ozone resistant, wrapped in a ribbed band that bolts flush through a 6.6mm M6 fixing hole. Fixings are not supplied - pair it with your standard M6 hardware.
The band is mild steel, heavily electro zinc plated on every surface - JCS plates after cutting, so even the cut edges are coated - making it the general purpose choice for indoor, automotive and light industrial routing. Dimensions are identical to the stainless version if the environment later demands an upgrade. The standard liner's -30C to +60C rating covers general routing duty; where temperatures climb higher, the dimensionally identical high-temperature version takes over.
Also available - the high-temperature liner version (PCZH8BG); the 304 stainless version (PCSR8BG); the 6mm size (PCZR6BG); the 9mm size (PCZR9BG).
Non-standard sizes and liners are available from JCS on request - this catalogue size is the stocked, off-the-shelf format.

A. P-clips are sized by closed diameter, and this one closes at 8mm - so it suits a pipe, hose or cable with a 8mm outside diameter. Measure the OD, not the bore; non-standard sizes are available from JCS on request. That is approximately 5/16 in, if you work in imperial.
A. The standard TPE liner absorbs vibration and prevents chafing of the item being clamped. It is UV and ozone resistant and rated for service from -30C to +60C.
A. The TPE liner is UV and ozone resistant, and the clip is available in heavily zinc plated steel or 304 stainless steel for outdoor and corrosive environments - choose stainless where conditions are persistently wet, and match the closed diameter to the tube you are fixing.
A. Yes - the design brief covers pipes, hoses and cables alike. The liner cushions the sheath against chafe and vibration, which matters as much on an armoured cable or air line as on a coolant hose. Size by outside diameter.
A. A hose clip makes a joint seal; a P-clip makes a run stay put. If the problem is a leak at a fitting, you want a hose clip - if the problem is a line that moves, chafes or rattles, you want this.
A. Yes - the band has a strengthening rib designed to keep the clip flush with the surface it is bolted to.
