Around water - pumped, sprayed or salt-laden - clip corrosion is the failure mode; the cure is marine-quality stainless in every component.
Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGS30RP adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 22-30mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
Built from 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless steel (EN 1.4301), it holds Lloyd's Register Type Approval for marine, offshore and industrial use. JCS stainless clips are used across water and drainage plant - pumping solutions, stormwater and overflow systems, wastewater treatment and irrigation networks. Size by the fitted outside diameter of the hose and seat the clip centrally over the barb.

A. This size spans 22-30mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 22-30mm and the HGS30RP is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 7/8 to 1 3/16 in, covering common 7/8 and 1 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. No mixed metals here - band, housing and screw are all the same stainless grade, and JCS verifies that through salt mist testing. Cheaper clips often pair a stainless band with a plated screw, which is the part that fails first.
A. Yes - JCS stainless hose clips are used across water and drainage infrastructure, including pumping solutions, stormwater and overflow management, wastewater treatment and agricultural irrigation networks.
A. For most marine and wet industrial duty, this 304 (18/8) clip with its Lloyd's Register Type Approval is the standard answer. JCS reserves its 316 grade for the most demanding settings - offshore, food and pharmaceutical - so if that is your application, ask us about options.
A. The screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with a sharply defined hexagon and rolled threads to resist slipping and rounding. For high-vibration applications JCS recommends rechecking the clip after use to maintain seal integrity.
