Variations
On pumps, washdown plant and boats, the clip is the first metal part to rust - unless every component of it is stainless.
This is the 13-20mm size of the Hi-Grip worm drive range. Where cheaper clips cut their threads and leave sharp band edges, JCS rolls the screw threads for strength and fully rounds the band edges so the hose is protected as the clip bites. JCS publishes a recommended torque of 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in) for this size - seat the clip centrally on the barb and work up to it gradually. Hi-Grip exceeds BS5315 and holds BSI Kitemark and NATO approvals.
The specification is 18/8 (EN 1.4301) stainless throughout - band, housing and screw - carrying Lloyd's Register Type Approval and suited to salt water and other highly corrosive environments. The same clips serve agricultural irrigation, washdown plant and drainage systems. Measure the hose's fitted outside diameter and pick the range that covers it.
Also available - the same clip in a 5-pack (HGS20PM1); the 17-25mm size (HGS25PM2); a zinc plated version of the same size and pack (HGZ20PM2).
All-stainless construction verified by salt mist testing - made and batch-tested in-house in Sudbury, Suffolk under ISO 9001:2015.

A. This size spans 13-20mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 13-20mm and the HGS20PM2 is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1/2 to 13/16 in, covering common 5/8 and 3/4 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
A. No mixed metals here - band, housing and screw are all the same stainless grade, and JCS verifies that through salt mist testing. Cheaper clips often pair a stainless band with a plated screw, which is the part that fails first.

A. Hi-Grip 304 stainless is marine-quality 18/8 steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval and is suited to saltwater service. A. The screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with a sharply defined hexagon and rolled threads to resist slipping and rounding. For high-vibration applications JCS recommends rechecking the clip after use to maintain seal integrity.
