Working on hybrid and electric vehicles demands tools that can be trusted around live electrical systems. An uninsulated torque wrench puts technicians at serious risk when torquing fasteners near high-voltage components. The Sealey STW807 is a fully insulated 1/2" square drive torque wrench, rated to BS EN IEC 60900:2018 for protection against electric shocks up to 1500V DC and 1000V AC, making it safe for live working on modern hybrid and electric vehicles as well as suitable for electricians and other trades. The 60-tooth ratchet head is manufactured from Chrome Vanadium steel and torques in both directions. Micrometer-type adjustment gives a torque range of 20-100Nm (14.75-73.76 lb.ft) with a scale graduated in both Nm and lb.ft, and accuracy is ±1% at 21°C in accordance with BS EN ISO 6789:2017. The polycarbonate tubing is impact resistant and combined with injection-moulded nylon thermoplastic for total insulation, with a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. Overall length is 370mm. Supplied with a test and calibration certificate, and backed by Sealey's Lifetime Guarantee.
