The socket body is manufactured from hardened and tempered chrome vanadium steel, providing the rigidity and toughness required for high-torque applications. The insert bit is produced from S2 silicon steel and given a sand blasted finish, ensuring positive engagement and resistance to wear at the point of contact with the fastener. A knurled ring around the socket provides extra grip when fitting or removing the bit by hand. Supplied as a single TX-STAR® socket bit — 1 x T45 profile at 100mm length with a 1/2" square drive — this tool is part of Draper's Expert quality range. Draper TX-STAR® products are compatible with Torx fixing systems.
