Dr., T50 x 55mm addresses this with a two-material construction: the socket body is manufactured from hardened and tempered chrome vanadium steel, and the insert bit is finished with a sand blasted profile in S2 silicon steel — a combination that delivers durability through the socket body and precise engagement through the bit tip. The 1/2" square drive allows the socket to be used with a wide range of standard 1/2" drive tools, including torque wrenches, ratchets and extensions. The T50 TX-STAR® profile is sized for larger fasteners commonly encountered in automotive and heavy workshop applications. A knurled ring is fitted to each socket to provide extra grip when locating or removing the bit by hand.
