The forging process ensures consistent wall thickness and structural integrity throughout the socket body. The chemical blacking treatment provides a uniform dark finish that resists surface corrosion, helping to maintain the socket in serviceable condition when exposed to the oils, coolants and moisture typical of professional workshop use.
