Deep impact sockets place considerable demands on materials, and the Draper HI-TORQ® range meets those demands through construction from hardened chrome molybdenum steel, forged to withstand the repeated shock loads generated by electric and pneumatic impact wrenches. The 6-point profile maximises contact area across each fastener flat, reducing the risk of rounding when working with high-torque drive tools. This 18mm deep impact socket is designed for use with a 3/4" square drive and is supplied complete with a ring and pin retention system, securing the socket to the drive and helping to prevent ejection during high-speed operation. The black phosphate finish provides a degree of corrosion protection suitable for workshop environments. The deep-reach geometry makes this socket well suited to fasteners with exposed stud threads, deep recesses, or where a standard-depth socket cannot fully seat.
