The set comprises five high carbon steel cut thread taps covering the most commonly requested metric sizes alongside a 'T' type tap holder that gives the controlled, even torque needed for clean thread cutting. The five taps are sized at M3.5×0.60 M4×0.70 M6×1.00 M8×1.25 and M10×1.50 representing the range of metric coarse threads most frequently encountered in automotive repair general fabrication and workshop maintenance. High carbon steel construction provides the hardness necessary to cut threads cleanly into mild steel aluminium and similar engineering materials. The 'T' type holder accepts the square drive of each tap and allows the operator to apply balanced two-handed torque reducing the risk of tap breakage and improving thread quality. Supplied display packed the set keeps all six components organised and identifiable at a glance.
