The Sealey AK315 Universal External Thread Repairer/Chaser offers a practical solution, restoring metric and imperial threads across a wide size range without the need for a lathe or specialist workshop. Covering external diameters from 31.75mm to 127mm (1-1/4" to 5"), it is suitable for a broad variety of applications. To use, simply attach the tool to an undamaged section of the thread, then wind back along the thread using the knurled adjuster the chaser restores the damaged section as it travels. The metric cutting range covers pitches of 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2, 2.5, 3, and 3.5mm, while the imperial range covers 4, 5, 6, 7, 7-1/2, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11-1/2, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 24tpi. Six dies are stored integrally within the tool itself, keeping everything organised and ready for use.
