Broken or seized screws and bolts can bring a job to a complete standstill, especially when the head is damaged beyond the reach of a standard driver or spanner. The Sealey AK8187 is a 10-piece step drill and screw/bolt extractor set designed specifically to remove right-hand thread broken and seized fasteners. Each step drill bit produces a conical hole that works in combination with the corresponding extractor, providing increased grip to pull out damaged fittings cleanly. The special extractor design cuts into the side of the hole, delivering greater force for heavily seized fasteners that resist conventional removal methods. All extractors and step drill bits are manufactured from heat-treated Chrome Molybdenum steel, fully ground for precision. The set covers screw extractors in sizes #1 (2.5-4mm / 1/8"-3/16"), #2 (5-6mm / 1/4"), #3 (7-8mm / 5/16"-3/8"), #4 (10mm / 7/16"), and #5 (12-14mm / 1/2"-9/16"), plus step drill bits in 4.5, 5, 5.5, 7.5, and 10mm. Supplied in a storage case to keep all ten pieces organised and protected between uses.
