Accurately measuring rotational speed, surface speed, frequency and total revolutions across different applications demands an instrument that can work both with and without physical contact. The Sealey TA050 Digital Tachometer is a professional quality laser instrument for fast and accurate measurement of rotational speed whether contact or non-contact access is available. Contact rotation speed is measured from 2 to 20,000rpm, while non-contact measurement reaches 2 to 99,999rpm. The instrument also measures total revolutions up to 99,999, surface speed in m/min, in/min, ft/min and yd/min, distance in m, in, ft and yd, and frequency in Hz. Sampling time is 0.5 seconds at above 120rpm, with accuracy of ±(0.05% + 1 digit). Ten selectable data set memories each store maximum, minimum and average or single value readings as appropriate. Supplied with reflective tape for non-contact measurement, three heads for contact measurement, and a PP3 9V battery. A jack socket accepts a 6V DC external power supply.
